New Students (Part Two)

This school year, Bethany got a few new students. This article is a series of mini-profiles of some of the new 9th and 10th graders (check out Skylar Yoder’s recent article to meet the rest of the new students!), in case you haven’t gotten to know them yet. Look for them in the halls and say hi!

Anya Kauffman is a new student in the 10th grade who came to Bethany this year from Pettisville, Ohio, which is near Archbold. At Bethany, Anya is on the volleyball team. She likes Math because it’s easy for her, and dislikes English because she doesn’t like studying grammar or poetry. Her favorite color is blue, and her favorite animal is a dog. Her favorite activity outside of school is listening to music or playing with her puppy, whose name is Ollie. Anya is looking forward to basketball season, because she wants to be on the team.

His favorite color is green, and his favorite animal is a monkey. Outside of school, George’s favorite activity is swimming or else playing sports. This school year, George is looking forward to learning more English. English is actually one of six languages that he knows, though he says English and Spanish are his main languages.

One thing he is looking forward to is looking forward to is fall break and also J-Term.
