Honk! Musical Preview

Bethany students will be performing Honk! for the spring musical. The show is a retelling of The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Anderson. The classic story was retold as a musical by a british song writing duo, and debuted in 1993. Since then, it has won a few awards and has became a show that many use to introduce younger children to theatre.

The show follows the story of Ugly, a little duckling who doesn’t fit in with the rest of the poultry on his farm. Throughout the show, he meets a variety of odd characters who  help him along his journey. The show is lively, bright, and humorous, but it also has themes of adoption, loving yourself, and a mother’s love.  When asked about what she loves most about this show, director Talashia Keim Yoder said, “This show is playful, fun and energetic. And at the same time, it has a message we all need to hear – we are all created different, and we can not just coexist, but can actually celebrate those differences.”

Show dates are March 2-5th! Come support everyone involved and see this great show!
