New Student Profiles: Sam Setiawan and Ngoc Nguyen

Sam Setiawan is a new freshman here at Bethany. He came to Bethany because he enjoyed the community here. It’s different from his other school because, in his words, “It’s a real school,” in past years Sam has been homeschooled. He moved to Goshen from Middlebury. He has an older brother and younger sister. He enjoys doing archery at his home and plans to play baseball here at Bethany.

Hong Ngoc Nguyen is a sophomore this year from Vietnam. She goes by Ngoc, which is pronounced like knock on a door. She came to Bethany because she has an aunt that lives in the area and she wanted to practice her english. Ngoc says that Bethany is different from her last school because her old school only had 70 students, they were all international and from Asia, mostly Chinese and Vietnamese. Ngoc is on the yearbook staff, WIT, this year. She has a younger sister who is living in Vietnam and likes hanging out with friends in her free time.
