Volleyball has had a mixed start to their season, but things are looking up. They’ve lost some games, but recently they had victories against ECA, Lakewood Park, and Westview. The team has changed a lot since last year: just ask Grace Reinheimer (‘19). She says the team is pretty different without last year’s seniors. She likes that they “hang out outside of volleyball too.” The team has a real sense of support, not just on the court. Grace says the bus rides to and from games get pretty fun. The team’s playing style has shifted as players graduate and new ones come in. Defense players graduated, and so now the team has picked new “setters” and had to work harder so everybody can take on the positions they need to. In Grace’s opinion, this has made them better.
The volleyball players may not sashay down the hallway in funny outfits for theme days like soccer does, but they do dress up for home games. If they all look especially dressed up, wish them good luck on their games!
