Top 10 Christmas Movies

  1. A CHRISTMAS STORY
A Christmas Story Summary | GradeSaver

I think we can all relate to a Christmas that isn’t perfect. We’ve all had that one Christmas where everything seemed to go wrong, but ended up being okay. I put this as number one because I still watch it every year at my Grandma’s house, so I have a love for this movie over all of the other ones.

  1. HOME ALONE
Amazon.com: Home Alone: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Roberts Blossom, Catherine O'Hara, Angela Goethals, Devin Ratray, Gerry Bamman, Hillary Wolf, John Candy, Larry Hankin, Julio Macat, Chris Columbus, John

It would be a travesty to not include this movie somewhere near the top of any list. I could watch it countless times and still find joy in watching this movie. It is an all time classic that is fun to watch through and through.

  1. THE POLAR EXPRESS
The Polar Express (film) - Wikipedia

This movie is, has been, and will be fun to watch. The animation is something that is a little different than what we’re used to, but it’s pretty cool. This is a really entertaining movie and I really recommend it!

  1. ELF

This Christmas-comedy is another that people watch yearly, and is also a movie that would be fun to watch any time of year. This “Dumb and Dumber” of Christmas is easily at number 4. But that’s all it is, a comedy.

  1. THE SANTA CLAUSE

Amazon.com: The Santa Clause (Full Screen Special Edition): Tim Allen, Peter Boyle, Judge Reinhold, David Krumholtz, Mary Gross, Eric Lloyd, Larry Brandenburg, Paige Tamada, Wendy Crewson, John Pasquin, Leo Benvenuti, Steve Rudnick:

I definitely don’t think this would be as high on other people’s lists as it is on mine. I think a lot of people think that this movie is weird, which it is. But either way it’s a fun movie, although I wouldn’t watch it too often.

  1. CHRISTMAS VACATION
Amazon.com: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (Special Edition): Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Juliette Lewis, Johnny Galecki, John Randolph, Diane Ladd, E.G. Marshall, Doris Roberts, Randy Quaid, Miriam Flynn, Cody Burger, Ellen Latzen, Jeremiah

This is another classic Christmas comedy. It’s very funny but that’s about it. It really is funny. For example, the scene when the family drives their station wagon under a semi truck. I don’t rea;;y enjoy this movie as much as others because all it is is funny.

  1. HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (2000)
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) – Rio Theatre

I Honestly prefer the 26 minute 1966 version, but it is only 26 minutes. This one is still fun though. I always liked this story and I like the 2018 version too, but this is better.

  1. THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
The Nightmare Before Christmas | Buy, Rent or Watch on FandangoNOW

This is a really cool movie. The claymation is fun to look at. The music is fun to listen to and sing along with. The premise is creative, but it’s also quite predictable.

  1. CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS
A Charlie Brown Christmas (TV Movie 1965) - IMDb

I watch this movie just because I’m supposed to. It’s really not that exciting. Sure it’s cute and emotional but again, I wouldn’t choose to watch it if it were my choice. Honestly, it’s only up here because it’s a classic.

  1. HOME ALONE 2
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York by Chris Columbus, Chris Columbus, Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern | DVD | Barnes & Noble®

This one’s simple. It has everything Home Alone has, albeit not quite as good.
