Hello There! The name’s McHugh, Ian McHugh. Before you ask: yes, both of those statements were meant to be movie references. You may already know me from some of Sightline’s previous videos, including “The Late Night Show with Jacob & Jacob,” or “Middle School Bachelorette.” As of two weeks ago, I am the newest member of the high society, otherwise known as the Sightline cult- CLUB, I said club! Due to its high security, I am not able to disclose too much information. What I can tell you is that I am branded for life with the symbol of the Sightline Club. It IS in a secret location, known only by members of this society. It is only visible at a specific time on a certain day with the right kind of sunlight, so do not bother searching for it.
I was born during the fifth moon of the 6th year after two thousand, and am currently a Sophomore at Bethany. I watch lots of movies and TV shows, specifically the funny ones (so not Friends) and the action-packed movies (Die Hard is cool). Some of my favorite shows are Modern Family and Stranger Things. My favorite movies currently are Spider-Man: No Way Home, John Wick, Inception, Catch Me If You Can, and anything else with Leonardo DiCaprio- he is one of my favorite actors (my other favorites are Keanu Reeves, Elizabeth Olsen, and Benedict Cumberbatch). I am also a big Marvel nerd. You can ask me anything about any of the movies (or shows), and I guarantee I can answer it with at least a bit of confidence.
I am the oldest child of two. My younger sister is a seventh-grader at Bethany. Due to the confidentiality reports and agreements I signed, I will not disclose her name to you. I will only tell you that it sounds like Bella but has a silent B.
I am on both the speech and debate team at Bethany… so you better not argue with me. I also enjoy learning every field of mathematics. My interests shift from time to time, which is why I know un peu de francais, can solve a Rubik’s cube in less than a minute, can program simple games, and just took this time to casually flex.
I am very passionate about my dislike of Apple. The company, not the food. I am impartial to the fruit. If you find me using an Apple product, feel free to pinch me and wake me out of my dream. Here is a quick list of reasons I despise Apple: Marked up expensive products (with fewer features than the competitors), they don’t listen to consumers, Android produces objectively better products, they trap people in the “Apple Trap” & make them believe their products are the best, and I prefer Microsoft.
I am also passionate about the environment- the protection of the environment. I am vegetarian, in part because of my beliefs in environmental protection. I also really like companies like Tesla, but also specifically Tesla. The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, is one of my favorite people, as he shares many interests and goals of mine: making the world shift to sustainable energy, commercializing electric vehicles, and colonizing Mars. If you talk to me, I will always have something to say about Elon Musk or one of his companies.
The range of music that I listen to is very wide. My favorite genres are Classical (eg. Vivaldi, Beethoven, and Chopin) and Experimental Indie Pop. I use the superior music app, Spotify, and occasionally YouTube Music.
In these coming years, you will be seeing a lot more of me.
